PLA and Russian forces invade South Podagorsk

London (Reuters) - Only a few hours after the audacious assault, the South Podagorsk Army has once again taken up defensive positions, this time much closer to the capital of Berezniki. The PLA and Russian forces it seems are holding short for the moment and  earlier today they were seen to be building defensive positions of their own. It is likely that their main force is still in reserve and that this incursion is nothing more than a probe to test the waters. Read more

Curfew now in effect

Berezniki (Reuters) - the Podagorsk goverment has decided to issue a curfew for all her citizens. This decision is a response to the increasing criminal activity within the South Podagorsk borders.

Crime wave hits South Podagorsk

Berezniki (Reuters) - Crime is at an all-time high. Police reports indicate an increase of at least 50% over the last few weeks. Armed assault and kidnapping are two of the reasons directly responsible for this crime wave. Insurgents have been crossing into South Podagorsk and our citizens suffer at their hands. Meanwhile leaders of the communities are wondering what can be done to stem this tide. When asked the Chief of police said; “We will do everything in its power to ensure the safety of our citizens – even if this includes issuing a curfew. With a curfew in place we can begin taking on these insurgents.” The government will decide later this week if a curfew will be in put into effect.

The downside of a curfew is that commerce will grind to a halt throughout the South, and the financial loss could very well put the citizens before a difficult choice; either stick with the South or move to North. Either way it does not look good for them should this scenario play out like this. We will keep you updated as the story continues.
